Common questions

How do kids sign in? A parent signs in on the device and turns on kid mode (Settings → Turn On Kid Mode). Each kid then taps their name and enters their 4-digit PIN.

A kid forgot their PIN. A parent can set a new one: on the Home screen, open the kid's page, tap ⋯ → Change PIN.

How do I set up a kid's own device? On your phone, tap Settings → Add a Kid Device, pick any kid or one particular kid, and you'll get a 6-digit code. On the kid's device, open Wrenly, tap Welcome → Set Up a Kid's Device, and enter the code. The code works once and expires after 10 minutes.

What does “Needs a grown-up's OK” mean? When you create or edit a task, you can turn on Needs a grown-up's OK. When a kid finishes it, the task waits for a parent instead of paying out right away. Approve or decline it from Tasks to Approve at the top of Home; stars are added only once a parent approves, and a declined task goes back on the kid's list.

How do I leave kid mode? Tap “Grown-ups” on the kid picker and sign in with a parent account.

A device we no longer use is still in kid mode. Settings → Sign Out All Kid Devices signs out every kid-mode device in your family.

When do daily and weekly tasks reset? At midnight in your family's time zone (Settings → Time Zone). Weeks start on Monday by default; you can change that in Settings → Week Starts On.

Points were added by mistake. Open the kid (or History) and swipe the entry to undo it.

I forgot my password. On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. We'll email you a 6-digit code (check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive in a minute or two). Enter the code and a new password in the app and you're signed in. The code works for 15 minutes; tap Send a new code if it runs out.

How do I delete my account? Settings → Delete Account. See the Privacy Policy for what is deleted.
